Slew City Slew Pensioned
Seattle Slew's multiple Grade 1-winning son SLEW CITY SLEW has been pensioned from stallion duties at the age of 27.
On the racetrack, Slew City Slew won the Gulfstream Park Handicap (G1), Oaklawn Handicap (G1) and Salvator Mile Handicap (G3). He also placed in four other Grade 1 tests and earned more than $1 million while racing for a partnership that included Karen and Mickey Taylor.
The sire of 54 stakes winners, Slew City Slew entered stud in 1990 at Airdrie near Midway, Kentucky, where he stood his entire career. His top runners include Canadian Horse of the Year Win City, seven-time Grade 1 winner Lava Man and Grade 1 winner Sis City. Grade 2 winner Evansville Slew is Slew City Slew's most prominent son at stud.
