It's Derby Day, Slew, and we're celebrating your victory in 1977 where you started your journey to Triple Crown winner without ever tasting defeat. You showed the world that you could overcome so much in a dominating performance.

Your exceptionalism did not end on the track, with sons and daughters and more earning championships and great wins. And today, in the 152nd Kentucky Derby (G1), many of your great-great-grandsons will vie to capture the Run for the Roses. Some of your progeny enter the race boasting wins in the Arkansas Derby (G1), Wood Memorial Stakes (G2), Florida Derby (G1) and Santa Anita Derby (G1).

We wish all the Slew's entered today the best of luck and will be cheering them on all the way.
