To the Taylors,
I was fortunate enough to see Seattle Slew win in 1977, and have a special place in my heart for him. He was the greatest of all time, and I know how much you miss him. He was an inspiration to all, he touched me in a way that is unexplainable. I really loved Seattle Slew, and I am thinking of him especially in May when he passed away. There will never be another Seattle Slew, and he will forever live in my heart.

I'll never forget watching Seattle Slew's races and hearing about his magnificent personality! What a great heart he must have had to accomplish all that he accomplished in his career. It must have been a joy to be part of his life

Have a "shrine" of Seattle Slew framed photos of his winning races in my library. Why hasn't there been a movie about Seattle Slew? He's much more of a "miracle/gift to racing" than any other horse in my lifetime; and many of the folks connected w/the sport of racing, such as Steve Haskin, has mentioned that the next Thoroughbred racing movie should be on Seattle Slew, so everyone can learn about this wonderful, magnificent Champion of the sport of Thoroughbred racing.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, I wanted to write and extend my congratulations to the great and indomitable Seattle Slew on this, the 36th anniversary of his phenomenal victory at the 1977 Kentucky Derby. There will never be another sports hero as great as he was.

Such an exciting Derby this year! Half the field with Slew connections! If my Social Security check came earlier in the month I'd be at some online window for sure! I told Marilyn the other day, it sure seems like I should be across the street from her on Saturday with a glass of ginger ale and a crusty old coot bettin' on the gray in every race up to the Derby. Hope you're all well. Love, Diane
